Band add Dublin gig to sold-out Manchester shows
The Stone Roses have added a gig in Dublin to their 2016 live plans.
The band, who will return with four nights at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June next year as well as a headline slot at T In The Park, will headline Dublin’s Marlay Park on Saturday July 9. This is the the day after the band headline T In The Park. Tickets are available from 9am on November 20.
Last week, The Stone Roses added two extra dates to their run of gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June next year, bringing the total up to four nights.
The Stone Roses live dates are now as follows:
Manchester, Etihad Stadium (June 15, 17, 18, 19)
T In The Park (July 8)
Dublin, Marlay Park (July 9)
The gigs – the band’s first live performances since playing London and Glasgow in 2013 – were first announced following posters of lemons appearing in record stores across Manchester. Images of the lemon, which has appeared on the band’s posters and album artwork in the past, appeared around the city with sightings confirmed at Close barber’s shop on Greater Ancoats Street and the Vinyl Revival record store on Hilton Street.
The Stone Roses are also now second favourites to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival, according to bookmakers Betfair.
The band are now listed behind Adele as among the bookies’ top tips to headline the Saturday leg of the Worthy Farm event in 2016.
