The Stone Roses reveal stage times for Manchester stadium shows

Here’s what time to arrive for Etihad Stadium concerts

The Stone Roses have confirmed the stage times for the first of their four shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.

Doors open at 4:30pm, before opening support act Blossoms, who release their self-titled debut album on August 5[/a], will be on at 5:40pm. They’re followed by Chronixx at 6:35pm.

Public Enemy, who are the special guests at all four Stone Roses shows, play at 7:45pm, while The Stone Roses themselves come on at 9pm.

At the band’s two warm-up shows last week in Halifax and Carlisle, The Stone Roses played 16-song shows, beginning with ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ and ending on ‘I Am The Resurrection’. The gigs saw comeback single ‘All For One’ played midway through the show, but they didn’t preview second new single ‘Beautiful Thing’, which was announced the night after the Carlisle show.

The set varied slightly, with ‘Elizabeth My Dear’ and ‘Begging You’ played at Halifax, while the Carlisle show replaced them with ‘Mersey Paradise’ and ‘Sally Cinnamon’.

Assuming the stage times match for the rest of the week, the 5:40pm stage time will apply to Buzzcocks (Friday June 17), Audioweb (Saturday) and Bugzy Malone (Sunday).

The 6:35pm stage time will be for The Coral (Friday), Paul Heaton And Jacqui Abbot (Saturday) and Courteeners (Sunday). In between the support slots, Public Enemy play a headline show at London IndigO2 on Thursday.
