Epiphone guitar went missing while being transported between New York and Los Angeles
The Strokes have asked fans for their help in tracking down a guitar lost by Nick Valensi of the band.
Valensi’s beloved Epiphone guitar (seen above) went missing while being shipped between New York and Los Angeles. The band issued a statement on their official website overnight urging anyone with any information to come forward and help locate the instrument.
The band say how “bummed” Valensi is at losing the instrument and ask anyone with details to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. A description of the guitar and its case is below.
Colour: Natural (Orange-ish hue)
Model: 1995 Riviera
Serial Number: R95E5702
What makes it unique: The pic guard has been removed. The headstock plate has an “E” Epiphone logo on it. Trapezoidal “mother-of-pearl” inlays on the neck. It’s been modified with P-94 pick ups and trapeze tailpiece.
Black Calzone Flight case with metal edges and butterfly latches. There’s a crack in the bottom of the case with gaffer tape covering it up. Covered in fragile stickers and other markings from traveling.
Late last year it was revealed that The Strokes were back in the studio working on new music.
The band released their last album ‘Comedown Machine’ in 2013, with frontman Julian Casablancas confirming the news and pictures from a studio in Mexico also emerging.
