The Strokes happy to go early

The New Yorkers look forward to album release next week

Despite ‘Juicebox’ leaking online earlier this year, The Strokes have told NME.COM they were happy to get going earlier than planned.

The single appeared online, bringing its original 2006 release date forward to December 5, while third album ‘First Impressions Of Earth’ is now out on January 2, something guitarist Nick Valensisays he approves of.

“I am happy with where it is now,” he explained. “I’m ready for the album to come out, I feel like we’ve been sitting on it for a long time. I’m really ready to let it free, like a caged bird.”
