[url=]THE STROKES are set to release a new album before the end of the year.
But fans hoping for a bumper batch of new songs before the end of the year are likely to be disappointed. Instead, plans are afoot to put out a live album.
According to XFM, the band’s latest official newsletter says: “The band hopes to release a live album by the end of the year. The first of the two shows at Alexandra Palace in London, December 2003 was recorded by the BBC. This would be the first official live release by [url=]The Strokes.”
A source close to the band told NME.COM that the album is likely to be released in October, following the third single from ‘Room On Fire’, ‘The End Has No End’.
