THE STROKES, RUN DMC and FEEDER are amongst the latest additions to this year’s CARLING WEEKEND FESTIVALS in READING and LEEDS, NME.COM can reveal.
The Strokes will make their only UK festival appearance this year.
The New York band play the Evening Session stage at Reading on Friday, August 24 and Leeds on Saturday, August 25. Other additions to the Evening Session stage on the same bill include King Adora and BS 2000, while Eels and Run DMC have been added to the main stage on those days.
Feeder have been added to the main stage at Reading on Saturday (August 25) and Leeds on Sunday (26). Elbow, My Vitriol and
Folk Implosion play the Evening Session stage on the same days.
The Strokes have also announced a UK tour for June, with a new single – ‘Hard To Explain’ – to be released around the same time as the gigs.
