The Subways made their Oxegen debut this afternoon (July 13), as they opened day three on the 02 Stage.
The trio played a raucous set which culminated in singer Billy Lunn stage diving into the crowd.
The band’s set mixed up tracks from their debut album ‘Young For Eternity’ and their 2008 follow-up ‘All Or Nothing’.
Bassist Charlotte Cooper showed her appreciation when she thanked the fans, saying: “This is our first ever Oxegen and you guys have been amazing for us.”
The set culminated in a raucous rendition of early single ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Queen’ which saw Lunn, who was stripped down to his waist, spark off a call and response with the crowd before he dived head first into the fans.
The Subways played:
‘Kalifornia’
‘Oh Yeah’
‘Alright’
‘Mary’
‘I Won’t Let You Down’
‘I Wanna Hear What You’ve Got To Say’
‘Turnaround’
‘With You’
‘Girls And Boys’
‘Rock N Roll Queen’
