The Subways working with Stephen Street on new album

Band enlist Blur and Smiths producer for third album

The Subways have started work on their new album with Blur and The Smiths producer Stephen Street.

The album, which is slated for a spring 2011 release, is the band’s third and the follow-up to 2008’s ‘All Or Nothing’.

Street has most recently worked with Irish band The Vagabonds on their debut EP and the hotly-tipped Brother on their debut single ‘Darling Buds Of May’. Writing on his official website, Stephenstreet.net, he said of the new recordings: “The session is going great so far and I reckon they [The Subways] are going to smash it at the festivals next summer with their live set.”
