Band play early evening set at Scottish bash

The Temper Trap helped to open the T In The Park festival this evening (July 9) as the site bathed in unexpected glorious sunshine.

Contrary to reports that the festival would be experiencing torrential rain, the sun shone throughout the Melbourne quartet’s second T appearance, despite mud being underfoot.

The band, led by singer Dougy Mandagi, opened with ‘Rest’, a track from their debut album, ‘Conditions’, before playing single ‘Fader’ as part of their performance to a packed-out crowd over on the NME/Radio 1 stage.

Jamie T and Florence And The Machine are the next two acts on the stage, with Black Eyed Peas set to headline.

NME will be coming live from T In The Park throughout the weekend. Head to NME.COM/festivals/t-in-the-park for the latest festival news, pictures and information.
