The Twang score first Top 20 hit

And Enter Shikari get Number Five album

The Twang have scored their first Top Twenty hit with ‘Wide Awake’ this evening (March 25).

The Birmingham band crashed the higher reaches of the chart at 15 after debuting at Number 32 on downloads last week.

Meanwhile on the album chart, Enter Shikari went in at Number Four with their debut ‘Take To the Skies’.

Elsewhere in the singles chart Tiny Dancers went in at 36 with ‘I Will Wait For You’ and Avril Lavigne went in at Number Three with ‘Girlfriend’.

This week’s Top Ten singles are:

1. The Proclamiers feat. Brian Potter and Andy Pipkin – ‘(I’m Gonna Be) 500 Miles’

2. Sugababes vs Girls Aloud – ‘Walk This Way’

3. Avril Lavigne – ‘Girlfriend’

Take That have gone back to the top spot on the album chart with ‘Beautiful World’ knocking ‘X Factor’ loser Ray Quinn off the Number One position.
