Watch the new video interview with the band on the right of your screen now.

In the video, singer Justin Young admits that it is “flattering” to be the “centre of attention”, while guitarist Freddie Cowan adds that the band, who release their debut album in March, are confident they can live up to people’s expectations.

“It’s not necessarily something that we feel apprehensive about because we’ve finished our record now and we’re really happy with it, so we’ve done what we feel we wanted to do,” Cowan said.

The Vaccines are on the cover of this week’s issue of NME, out nationwide now. The issue showcases our pick of the new acts on course to make waves in 2011, including Brother, Anna Calvi, Wu Lyf and James Blake.

The band will also play the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour with Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man and Everything Everything this February. Head to NME.COM/awards for ticket details.
