The indie heroes launch second album 'The Vaccines Come Of Age' on Radio 1's Live Lounge

The Vaccines covered Taylor Swift on BBC Radio 1 today (September 3) – you can listen above.

On the day that the band release their second album ‘The Vaccines Come Of Age’, they appeared on the Live Lounge segment of Fearne Cotton’s mid-morning show. And in the tradition of alternative acts covering pop songs, they performed a version of the country-pop star’s recent hit ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’.

The band’s appearance comes at the start of a busy week for the band, as they face off against Two Door Cinema Club for chart supremacy. The Northern Irish band also release their second album, named ‘Beacon’ today.

Tomorrow, The Vaccines will meet fans instore at Manchester’s HMV store, while Friday sees them play at Michael Eavis’ other festival, the Pilton Party on Worthy Farm. Saturday will see Justin Young and Árni Hjörvar appear on Soccer AM on Sky Sports.
