‘QUICKSILVER’ RETURN FOR FORMER VERVE PAIR

Simon Jones and Simon Tong's nameless group get down to business...

Ex-Verve band members SIMON JONES and SIMON TONG have formed a new band and are appealing to people to appear in the video for their debut single.

The group, who are currently without a name, features Jones on bass and Tong on guitar and keyboards. The pair, alongside vocalist Duncan Baxter, were rumoured to be briefly working with former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire following the demise of The Seahorses, but no material ever saw the light of day.

However, the five-piece, which also features unknowns Mark Heaney on drums and Dan MacBean on guitar, will record the video for their debut single, ‘Quicksiilver’ on Monday (March 4).

People interested in appearing in the video should email zuma@zumarecordings.com with their name, age and contact details. Successful applicants will be contacted with exact times and locations.
