Bassist Kieren Webster reveals the new LP features 'a couple of things you wouldn't expect'
The View‘s Kieren Webster has revealed that the group’s forthcoming third album sounds “different”.
In an interview with The Daily Record, the bassist gave an update on the direction of their new LP.
“This album is different and sounds big,” he said. “It has elements of the first and second albums in it. It has funky guitar and pop led tunes on it and a couple of things you wouldn’t expect.”
“Youth is producing it,” he explained. “He is a great producer. He’s really cool and it was a great experience working with him. Every producer is going to have a different sound, and he came up with some good ideas.”
The as-yet untitled album is expected to be released later this year.
Meanwhile, The View are set to play Inverness Ironworks on July 7, as a warm-up show for their appearance at this year’s T In The Park festival on July 11.
