The Vines confirm new album is due for spring

The band are almost finished says manager

The Vines are set to release their third album early in 2006, the band’s manager has confirmed.

As previously reported, the band returned to the studio in Australia this autumn to work on new material, and now their manager Andrew Kelly has confirmed the band are almost finished.

“The good news for Christmas is that the album will be finished by late January and we are looking at a March/April release date,” Kelly told fan site Dreamintheinsane.com. “It’s very exciting, and the band can’t wait.”

In the meantime, the current issue of NME – out now – is a special preview of the big albums of 2006, featuring exclusives from Morrissey, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, The Streets, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis and many more.
