The White Stripes announce ‘special’ LA show

They'll play at newly constructed 'Icky Thump' store

The White Stripes have announced that they will play a “very special show” in Los Angeles next Wednesday (June 20).

To celebrate the release of their new album, ‘Icky Thump’, the band are constructing an ‘Icky Thump’ Records store at 8801 W. Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood at the former site of the flagship Tower Records.

The band will play their first LA show since 2005 at ‘Icky Thump’ Records for the first 200 fans who pick up the LP at the store, which opens at midnight on Monday (June 18).

Tickets will also be given away on Los Angeles radio station KROQ from June 15-17.
