GOOD NEWS FOR ‘MOUNTAIN’ PEOPLE!

'Cold Mountain' is up for Best Picture at next month's awards...

‘COLD MOUNTAIN’, the film that marks JACK WHITE’s first major acting role, has been nominated for the GOLDEN GLOBE BEST PICTURE award.

As well as appearing on the soundtrack, White has a role in the film as a singer and musician. ‘Cold Mountain’ – a Civil War-era drama and adaptation of Charles Frazier’s book – is set to open on December 25 and stars Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger.

The movie will battle ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King’, ‘Master And Commander’, ‘Mystic River’ and ‘Seabiscuit’ for the Best Picture award.

Also, Law has been nominated for Best Actor, while Renee Zellweger has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

The Golden Globes are often used as an indicator of what will do well at the Oscars.
