'Elephant' stays at the top of the UK albums chart...

The WHITE STRIPES have secured a second week at Number One with their album ‘ELEPHANT’.

The record, the band’s fourth, has managed to beat competition from Coldplay’s ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’, which has risen three places to Number Two.

The Detroit duo have spent the last seven days touring Britain in support of ‘Elephant’, ending with two shows at the London Brixton Academy this weekend.

In the UK singles chart, it is a relatively quiet week, with Room 5 featuring Oliver Cheatham remaining at Number One with ‘Make Luv’. The highest new entry comes from former Hear’say singer Kym Marsh with ‘Cry’, at Number Two.
