CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME FOR THE WHO

The legendary rockers have invited Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher and Eddie Vedder to the Royal Albert Hall gig...

THE WHO are to play a concert in aid of a teenage cancer charity at the LONDON ROYAL ALBERT HALL on November 27.

Support acts are tipped to include Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, and Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder. Full line-up details are still being finalised.

A spokesperson for Paul Weller told nme.com that he had been approached and is expected to decide before this weekend whether he will be able to perform.

According to the Teenage Cancer Trust, which will benefit from the concert, The Who were instrumental in approaching the other artists. The charity builds hospital units which are specially tailored for teenagers.

Tickets for the show go on sale tommorow, via the Albert Hall Box Office.
