THE WHO are the third headliner at the ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL, NME.COM can reveal.

The legendary festival was restarted in 2002 after an absence of 32 years. The event has hosted acts such as Jimi Hendrix, [/a], The Who, Joni Mitchell and Jefferson Airplane in the past.

This year’s festival takes place June 11-13, with [a] and. Stereophonics already confirmed.

The Who played at the festival back in 1970. From 2am until 5am they played continuously, ending with Pete Townshend smashing up his guitar and Keith Moon his drumkit.
