theaudience Walk Out

Founder and main songwriter quits after "frustration" with group...

Theaudience‘s founder, songwriter and co-producer BILLY REEVES has finally left the band. Reeves did not appear with the audience at their V98 shows this year and his status within the band was unclear.

He called NME last week and said: “It’s with pleasure I can now officially announce my amicable departure from indie pop group Theaudience due to extreme frustration.”

He said the band would continue under the same name and that they were already working with new songwriters. Billy had already launched another band, STARCHILDREN 2021, in August as a side-project and is writing songs for the debut album of EastEnders star MARTINE ‘TIFFANY’ MCCUTCHEON.
