Theaudience singer SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR has taken up magazine modelling while she looks for a new record deal.

This month Sophie, who’s the daughter of ex-Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis‘, is featured in Playstation magazine dressed as a devil girl to promote website demongames.com. She’s also featured in the April edition of Company magazine in an ‘at the movies’ fashion shoot.

theaudience parted company with their record label Mercury in November last year after releasing just one album.

A spokesperson for the band explained: “Sophie‘s been doing demos, she’s still very serious about the music and this modelling is a little supplementary thing. A lovely looking lady like that – it’s a quick way to get some cash.”

The band left Mercury after the label rejected the band’s second album. Sophie still has a publishing deal with Rondor, but her former bandmates are now working on other projects.
