Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has responded to news that Donald Trump has become the President of the United States.
Billionaire TV personality-turned-Republican candidate Trump took the US presidency after a series of victories over rival Hillary Clinton overnight. Trump had won several “swing states”, including Florida, Ohio, Iowa and North Carolina, allowing him to reach the 270 electoral college votes needed to ensure victory.
After the news was confirmed, Yorke took to Twitter to quote lyrics from his band’s ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ single ‘Burn The Witch’. See that tweet below.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga led a protest outside Trump Tower following the result, while Johnny Marr suggested that ‘a 12-year-old child’ would be a good alternative.
