Stryder's song 'Number 1' aptly hits the chart peak

Tinchy Stryder knocked Calvin Harris off the top of the UK singles chart today (April 26), with his aptly-titled song ‘Number 1’ debuting at the top spot.

As well as triumphing over Harris‘ hit ‘I’m Not Alone’, Stryder held off competition from La Roux, whose single ‘In For The Kill’ stayed at Number Two.

In the albums stakes Depeche Mode‘s new effort ‘Sounds Of The Universe’ went in at Number Two behind Lady Gaga, who holds on to the top spot with her album ‘The Fame’.

The other new entry in the album chart Top Ten was ‘Wild Young Hearts’, the second album by Noisettes.
