His rap name is Tommy No 1

Tom Hardy‘s 1999 rap mixtape has been uploaded online.

The actor has previously spoken about his endeavours in music, saying he “wasn’t very good” at rapping.

‘Falling On Your Arse In 1999’ was uploaded to Bandcamp earlier this month by DJ Eddie Too Tall, who collaborated with Hardy on the tape. A note on the webpage hosting the songs reads: “Made in a bedroom 1999 these mixtapes were never really finished. Lyrics written and performed by Tom Hardy. Music written and produced by Ed Tracy.”

Meanwhile, it was confirmed last year that the BBC have joined forces with Hardy and  Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight for a series of new Charles Dickens adaptations.

The first adaptation set for the small screen is of Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol, leading to some speculation that Hardy may join the cast in the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge.

A Christmas Carol is set to be made up of three 60-minute episodes, but won’t emerge until Christmas 2019.

Hardy has described the project was “extremely exciting”, noting that “A Christmas Carol is a fabulous magical piece of theatre and an embarrassment of riches for our creative team – from character all the way through to design.”
