'The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx' is based on his own life
Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee is set to star in an animated project, providing the voice for the main character.
‘The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx’ is an animated half hour which is loosely based on Lee’s own life- a rocker trying to balance life on the rod with his home life. In the short, the character’s tattoos come to life and lead him astray.
“I’ve always loved the animated world,” Lee told Variety. “How fun and kooky is this gonna be, to combine some real-life experiences with some seriously over-the-top humor.”
Lee is also listed as a producer on ‘Jaxx’ and gave the writers much material to use in the piece, including a story about when he filled the bathtub up with Cherry Icees and accidentally dyed his children red.
Lee has two sons with ex-wife Pamela Anderson.
