Singer croons on Sheffield band's album

Tony Christie has made an unlikely cameo on a rock group called Laruso‘s debut album.

The legendary singer lends his vocals to album track ‘Heresy’ by the Sheffield group.

Christie, also a native of the city, called his last album ‘Made In Sheffield’. It came out in 2008.

“We asked him if he wanted to get involved and it turned out amazingly,” Laruso frontman Liv Puente explained. “His vocals sound so eerie – which is not what you would expect at all. It’s nice to have a Sheffield legend contribute to our work!”

The album, ‘A Classic Tale Of Cause And Effect’, is out on May 29.
