Trampolene and Pete Doherty share video for ‘Blue Balls And A Broken Heart’

The Libs' poet and Pete's guitarist unveils more new music

Trampolene has shared his new video for ‘Blue Balls And A Broken Heart’, featuring Pete Doherty.  See it first on NME below.

Filmed on tour where Trampolene’s Jack Jones is Pete Doherty’s guitarist in his solo tour band The Puta Madres, the clip shows Jones, Pete, the band, crew and audience all at a show in France dancing along to the track and footage of Doherty’s grandparents.

“I talked to Peter and the gang about filming a video for a new song of mine called ‘Blue Balls & A Broken Heart,” Jones told NME. “I originally suggested doing it after the show in Lyon, so we could use the lighting and try to get everyone ballroom dancing, including the crew, but Peter had the idea of doing it during the show and getting the crowd involved. Earlier in the day he had asked me to get some bits of equipment and a projector – I didn’t know why.
“I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out, but as we came back on for the encore, ‘Blue Balls And A Broken Heart’ played over the PA. Everyone slowed danced and waved. I looked up and saw the projector showing an old family film of Peter’s grandparents ballroom dancing too. It was moving – I hope the video captures the magic of the moment.”
