Two Door Cinema Club to headline NME Awards Tour 2012 – ticket details

Metronomy, Tribes and Azealia Banks will also play February tour

Two Door Cinema Club will headline next year’s NME Awards Tour – scroll down to find out how you can get tickets.

The Northern Irish band will hit the road with Metronomy, Tribes and Azealia Banks, kicking off at O2 Academy Glasgow on February 8.

The tour will then take in dates in Newcastle, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Norwich, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol and Bournemouth, before culminating at O2 Academy Brixton London on February 25.

Speaking about their headline slot, Two Door Cinema Club singer Alex Trimble said:

We feel a real sense of achievement to have made it this far and be one among the incredible list of headliners on the NME Awards Tour.

Meanwhile, Azealia Banks, who will play the opening spot on the tour which has helped to launch the likes of Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and The Vaccines to stardom, remarked: “I’ve been reading NME since I was old enough to ride the trains, where I’d buy it on newsstands. It’s almost surreal that I’ve been selected to participate in this tour. It’s such an honour.”

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (November 11) at 9am but an exclusive allocation will be available on NME.COM/tickets from Wednesday (9) at 9am.
