DJS’ ‘JUNK’ ROCK

Messrs Weatherall and Tenniswood have reworked the forthcoming 'Eat Junk, Become Junk' single...

Two Lone Swordsmen, Andrew Weatherall‘s collaborative project with KEITH TENNISWOOD, have remixed the next single by NOTTINGHAM angst merchants SIX BY SEVEN.

The single, ‘Eat Junk, Become Junk’, also features a version by London-based noise merchant Zan Lyons, who supported the band at their last London show. While Lyons’ mix is typically ear-shredding, Weatherall and Tenniswood’s layers the guitars through technoid beats to create a dancefloor-decimating reinterpretation of the scabrous original. Andrew Weatherall has been quoted as saying that the Six By Seven album ‘The Closer You Get’ is one of his favourites of the year.

Six By Seven have also been announced as the support act on the forthcoming Placebo tour. The tour dates are: Royal Court, Liverpool (Oct 14) Barrowlands, Glasgow (15) Music Hall, Aberdeen (16) Corn Exchange, Edinburgh (17) Octagon Centre, Sheffield (19) Academy, Manchester (20) University, Leeds (22) UEA, Norwich (23) Corn Exchange, Cambridge (25) Event, Brighton (26) Colston Hall, Bristol (27) Civic, Wolverhampton (29) Rock City, Nottingham (30) Brixton Academy, London (31, November 1)

‘Eat Junk, Become Junk’ is released on November 6 through Mantra.
