The rapper is picked up by police at Austin-Bergstrom Airport following the incident at the Scoot Inn
Tyler, The Creator has been arrested at SXSW for allegedly inciting a riot.
The Odd Future member was picked up by police at Austin-Bergstrom Airport earlier today (March 15) because of an incident which took place earlier this week on March 13 in downtown Austin, where he apparently told fans at the Scoot Inn venue to push their way past the venue’s staff, even though the space was already at capacity. He was arrested without incident on a misdemeanor riot charge, reports Associated Press. His bond has been set at $3,500.

Tyler, The Creator was playing the Thrasher Converse Death Match event at the Scoot Inn when the incident took place, on a bill which also included Nothing, Fucked Up, Ratking and Ryan Hemsworth. He has been arrested on previous occasions, on vandalism charges in 2011 after he allegedly trashed sound equipment at Odd Future’s Christmas show at the Roxy in Los Angeles and on a charge of disturbing the peace in the same year.
The rapper was spotted at Kanye West and Jay Z’s joint SXSW show at the Austin Music Hall on the night of March 12, crowdsurfing during the set. He was also due to play the Mohawk venue on Red River Street in Austin later that night, but his show was cancelled after a car crash outside the venue, which saw two people killed. The driver of the car, Rashad Owens, has since been charged with two counts of capital murder.
