DJ says he hasn't spoken to Bono since initial talks

David Guetta has confirmed that plans to work with U2 have fallen through.

The Irish four-piece, who recently headlined Glastonbury, had lined up plans to work on a ‘club record’ featuring Lady Gaga collaborator RedOne, Black Eyed Peaswill.i.am and Guetta.

Bassist Adam Clayton recently confirmed that the band had stopped working with RedOne. Now Guetta claims that after an initial meeting with Bono, the pair have not spken since.

“We actually met with Bono and we spoke about it,” Guetta told Billboard.

“He announced it in some of his interviews so I started to announce it, too, because he spoke about it, and then we never spoke again. So it might happen one day, I would love to, but he kind of disappeared.”

U2 are currently working on sessions with Danger Mouse and are planning to release a new album next year.
