Coldplay, The Killers, ELO also feature in the run up to Cameron's speech
A video interview with Bono was played to the audience at the Manchester Central complex a few minutes before Cameron took to the stage to delivery his speech.
At last week’s Labour Party conference in Brighton, Bono made a similar video appearance, where he praised Prime Minister Gordon Brown‘s “staggering” results on development. In 2004, Bono made a personal appearance at the Labour Party conference, again speaking to the audience about world poverty.
