HIGH TIMES FOR U2!

The band will put out the LP in November with single ‘Vertigo’ to come sooner…

U2 have announced details of their forthcoming eleventh studio album.

The still-as-yet-untitled LP, produced by Steve Lillywhite, will come out on November 23 in the US (a day earlier in the UK), while the first single ’Vertigo’ is due to hit radio in September.

According to MTV News, a video for the single is set for release in October.

As previously reported on NME.COM, last month a CD containing some new songs from the album went missing during a photo session in Nice.

Singer Bono said that the band would be willing to release the record early, rather than face an online leak four months before release.

He said: “If it is on the Internet this week, we will release it immediately as a legal download on iTunes, and get hard copies into the shops by the end of the month. It would be a real pity. It would screw up years of work and months of planning, not to mention f**king up our holidays. But once it’s out, it’s out.”

The album is the follow-up to 2000’s ’All That You Can’t Leave Behind’.
