BONO, BEYONCE, QUEEN FOR AIDS AWARENESS BASH

BONO, QUEEN and BEYONCE have been confirmed as headliners for a massive AIDS awareness concert, due to be held in CAPE TOWN on November 29.

The stars will be joined by Anastacia and [a][/a] for the ‘46664’ show, part of a campaign launched by Nelson Mandela.

‘46664’ was the Mandela’s prison number while he was incarcerated in South Africa’s Robben Island jail.

He said; “Millions of people today infected with AIDS are just that – a number. They too are serving a prison sentence for life.”

Mandela added; “That’s why for the first time I am allowing my prison number… to brand this campaign.

As reported on BBC News, the former South African president said: “A tragedy of unprecedented proportions is unfolding in Africa.”

The concert will be released on CD and DVD in the New Year.
