A SORTED HOMECOMING!

'U2 Go Home' is the first ever release to feature the band playing to a home crowd in Ireland...

U2 are to release a live DVD of one of their 2001 ‘homecoming’ gigs at Ireland’s SLANE CASTLE.

Out November 17, ‘U2 Go Home’ is the first ever release

to feature the rock gods playing to a home crowd in Ireland. The band played two shows at the venue before 160,000 people to close their Elevation world tour. The concert featured on the DVD took place on September 1.

‘U2 Go Home’ charts an emotional return for the band – in 1984 Slane Castle was the venue for the recording of their fourth album, an event which captured in ‘The Unforgettable Fire’ documentary, which will feature on the DVD in remastered form. The shows also marked the 20th anniversary of the band’s first appearance at the venue, supporting Thin Lizzy at the inaugural

Slane Castle Festival.

The DVD includes a bonus track, and DVD ROM special features include a

calendar, screensavers and weblinks plus three songs shot on ‘Spincam’
