U2 have confirmed their new single will be ‘WALK ON’, released on November 19.

According to a posting on the official U2 website, www.u2.com, the track, taken from the group’s current album ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’, will be backed by live versions of ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’ and ‘Stay (Faraway, So Close)’, recorded on the group’s recent world tour.

Other additional tracks include an acoustic version of previous single ‘Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get Out Of’.

In other U2 news, vocalist Bono recently visited Philadelphia to discuss the problem of third-world debt. According to the website Jam! Music, the star was amongst those attending a seven-day summit of African finance and economic ministers.

Speaking about his attendance, Bono said: “The debt issue appealed to me because it wasn’t throwing pennies at the problem. It was looking at the structure of the problem.”
