U2 TO STEAL ‘ROLLIN”S THUNDER?

The Irish rockers' new single 'Stuck In A Moment (You Can't Get Out Of)' is strong contender to end 'Rollin''s two-week run...

U2 head a trio of Irish bands leading the battle to knock LIMP BIZKIT off the Number One spot next Sunday (February 4)

U2 release ‘Stuck In A Moment (You Can’t Get Out Of)’ , the second single from their current album ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ today (January 29) via Island. Ash release ‘Shining Light’ the first single from their forthcoming new album ‘Free All Angels’, while NME Carling Tour headliners JJ72 release ‘Snow’ via Lakota.

A chart expert at HMV in London told NME.COM that U2 were the most likely to go in at Number One, as sales of Limp Bizkit’s single ‘Rollin” should now start to ease after two weeks at the top.

He said: “I think U2 will do very well this week, and I can see Ash doing as well as Feeder did a few weeks ago. This is the first single from the album, and with their fanbase and the amount of radio play the record has received, could go Top Five”.

A handful of other singles are also expected to perform well. Atomic Kitten release their new single ‘Whole Again’ via Innocent, Planet Funk release ‘Chase The Sun’ and Mya releases ‘Case Of The Ex’ via University.

Other new releases come from Mansun, who release ‘Fool’ via Parlophone, and Grandaddy, who release ‘The Crystal Lake’ via V2.
