Eve Hewson snaps Drake with U2
Bono’s daughter has jokingly called Drake “my dad” in an Instagram photo.
Eve Hewson shared a photo she took of U2 with Drake taken after the two acts played at iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas over the weekend. Hewson captioned the photo: “My dads and my daddy.”
Hewson is an actress who plays Nurse Elkins in Sky Atlantic drama The Knick opposite Clive Owen.

The festival marked U2’s last show of the year, one of a handful they’ve played since their ‘Songs Of Innocence + Experience’ tour finished in December 2015. During their eight-song set, Bono mocked Donald Trump during ‘Desire’. After playing a clip of Trump saying “The American dream is dead”, Bono said “The American dream is alive” before returning to the song.
Shortly after the festival, Drake was presented with an award by Apple to mark ‘Views’ becoming the first album to be streamed one billion times on Apple Music.
At the weekend, Adam Clayton gave an interview via Skype at U2’s fanclub event in Cleveland to mark the 40th anniversary of the band forming in Dublin in 1976. During the interview, Clayton implied U2 would return to full touring in 2017, though he remained non-committal on the status of the band’s album ‘Songs Of Experience’.
‘Songs Of Experience’ was said to be mostly finished at the same time as their most recent album, 2014’s ‘Songs Of Innocence’. The experience mirrors that of ‘Songs Of Ascent’, the companion album recorded during the sessions of U2’s previous album ‘No Line On The Horizon’ in 2009, which has still to be released.
Bono said in 2014 that ‘Songs Of Ascent’ would eventually be released as part of a ‘Songs Of…’ trilogy with the innocence and experience albums.
