Achtung, Baby – U2 tease 2018 UK tour dates

U2 have teased that they’ll soon be announcing details of UK tour dates for 2018.

The band, who recently released their divisive new album ‘Songs Of Experience‘, were talking to Radio X when they suggested that they’ll be playing some huge gigs in the new year – including a show in Manchester.

“Well, we’re gonna be announcing shows,” said bassist Adam Clayton. “After the summer is when they’re gonna go on sale, but we’ll be announcing shows.

“So we’ll save you some seats down the front”.

Last month, U2 picked up the Global Icon Awards at the MTV EMAs 2018 – at which frontman Bono used their acceptance speech to sing a verse from Stormzy’s ‘Blinded By Your Grace‘. Watch footage from the show and see Stormzy’s reaction below.

Collecting the award, The Edge said: “We’ve been making music together for a long time. People always ask, ‘How have you kept your band together?’ There has to be one boss, one leader, who calls the shots. It’s not an easy gig, let me tell you, and I could not have done this without these guys’ support. Truly, they are the wind beneath my wings.”

‘Songs Of Experience’ by U2 is out now.
