Pet Shop Boys are to play GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL for the first time, nme.com can reveal.

The duo join Saturday’s Glastonbury bill and take to the stage just before headliners Travis. David Bowie and Chemical Brothers headline the other days at the event, which takes place from June 23-25 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset.

In other festival news, The Big Chill Enchanted Garden 2000 has also revealed its line-up, which so far features Nitin Sawhney, Norman Jay, DJ Food and Faze Action. The event takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens from August 4-6 and tickets cost #60 for the weekend.

Meanwhile, Underworld, who release their long awaited live album on September 4 through V2, are believed to be headlining the dance tent at one of this summer’s biggest UK festivals and will be playing a large outdoor show in Ibiza during the island’s coming season.

However, a source at the band’s label V2 said nothing had been formally decided.
