DOUBLE TOP FOR USHER

And it's double joy for the R'n'B prince as his album debuts at number one...

Usher remains at the top of the UK single chart tonight (March 28) for a second week with comeback single ‘Yeah’.

He scores a notable double as his new album ‘Confessions’ goes straight in at the top of the album chart.

He continues to see off strong competition from DJ Casper who remains at number two with last week’s number one ‘Cha Cha Slide’.

Anastacia scores the highest new entry at three with comeback single ‘ Left Outside Alone’, which enters at three while boyband Blue enter at four with ‘Breathe Easy’.

In a busy week on the top 10, The Darkness take a bow at five with ‘Love Is Only A Feeling’ while Outkast enter at seven with ‘The Way You Move’, just ahead of Sugababes at eight with ‘In The Middle’ and Kanye West at nine with ‘Through The Wire’.

There are no other new entries on the top 20. The Delays narrowly miss the 20 charting at 21 with ‘Nearer Than Heaven’, just ahead of Missy Elliot at 22 with ‘I’m Really Hot’. There’s less welcome news for two veteran acts today as The Divine Comedy enter at 25 with ‘Come Home Billy Bird’ and Travis struggle in at 28 with ‘Love Will Come Through’.

Usher’s album success nudges George Michael to number two. The second highest new entry comes from NERD with ‘Fly Or Die’. The only other entry on the 10 comes at 10 from veteran Eric Clapton and his blues album ‘Me and Mr Johnson.
