The Stone Roses, The Killers, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will play sets later

Festival-goers are set to enjoy a day of scorching sunshine on the final day (August 19) of V Festival.

According to Metcheck, the Hylands Park, Chelmsford site will receive the best of the weather with sunshine expected to last throughout the day and a top temperature of 29C.

Some light showers are expected to hit Weston Park in Staffordshire in mid-afternoon, but a high factor suncream will still be needed as the sun will shine down on the site for the majority of the day, with a top temperature of 23C.

Reunited Madchester legends, The Stone Roses, will continue their summer of comeback gigs by topping the bill on the Virgin Media Stage at Weston Park, Staffordshire, with support from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Example. Other acts set to play today include David Guetta, Friendly Fires, The Charlatans, Ed Sheeran, Gossip and Professor Green.
