The band will help out with the September 12 edition of the Metro

Vampire Weekend are set to guest edit tomorrow’s edition of Stateside newspaper Metro.

Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio will assist with the editing of the free paper, which is given out in New York, Boston and Philadelphia. The band will work with the publication’s permanent editors and choose the topics covered by the Metro for the September 12 edition, as well as curating a whole section about New York food.

Vampire Weekend were amongst the main winners at the independent record labels’ governing body The Association of Independent Music’s third annual AIM Independent Music Awards earlier this month. The band won Independent Track Of The Year for ‘Diane Young’ from their third album ‘Modern Vampires Of The City’.
