New York group to hit the road in August and September

Vampire Weekend have announced details of an upcoming summer tour of North America.

Playing in support of their second album, ‘Contra’, which was released earlier this year, the New York group will begin the gig-run in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 28.

Support on the tour will come from Beach House and Dum Dum Girls, with The Very Best replacing the latter at the Hollywood Bowl date.

Prior to the jaunt, the band are set to appear at a series of European festivals including Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen.
