Band also joke about U2's decision to 'pull out' of bash

Vampire Weekend said this year’s Glastonbury was as hot as US festival Coachella.

Chris Tomson and Rostam Batmanglij caught up with NME backstage at Glastonbury to discuss the festival. Watch the video interview on the right of your screen now.

“This is like Glastonbury 2010: Coachella edition!” Batmanglij said of the stifling heat.

The band also joked about U2 being replaced by Gorillaz at the bash. “Pulling out is not an effective method of contraception,” laughed Batmanglij, before adding: “It would have been nice to see them, but Gorillaz are great too.”
