Suge Knight and comedian Katt Williams arrested for robbery

Knight facing 30 years to life in prison

Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight and comedian Katt Williams have been arrested for allegedly stealing a paparazzi’s camera in Beverly Hills.

TMZ reports that the incident took place outside a studio on September 5. Police detained Knight in Las Vegas yesterday (October 29), while Williams was arrested as he arrived at court for an unrelated assault case. Both have been charged with robbery.

Due to prior convictions, Knight could receive 30 years to life in state prison if found guilty of the theft. Williams, meanwhile, is facing seven years in prison.

The alleged incident occurred just 12 days after the hip-hop mogul was shot six times in the stomach and arm at a party hosted by Chris Brown at Hollywood nightclub 1OAK. Despite his injuries, Knight was able to walk out of the venue with assistance from police.

Speaking about the shooting, Knight later said, “Even if I did [know], I don’t think that’s really important — who pulled the trigger and who I seen pull the trigger. I’m doing extremely well. I’m happy to be doing well. Whatever happens, happens.”

“One thing my father always taught me, no matter what it is, you never give up, you never quit if you start something. When you walk in a place, you walk in one way and no matter what goes on, you leave the same – as a man. I was shot, and I wanted to make sure I got to the right place to patch some of these holes up.”
