Police appeal for information following incident at Windsor's Tea Party Festival

A shooting took place at a dance music festival in Windsor, Berkshire at the weekend, with police appealing to anyone with information.

BBC News reports that a 27 year-old man was shot in the chest at Tea Party Festival at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Saturday (August 13). The incident is said to have taken place in the VIP tent at around 20.30 BST.

Detective Constable Tom Parker, from Maidenhead Force Criminal Investigation Department, has issued a statement saying: “This occurred when the VIP tent would have been busy, so if you were there and took a photo you may have captured the incident.”

He added: “Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you believe it may be, could be important to the investigation so please come forward if you have any details”.

The victim was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition. The suspect has been described as a black man, believed to be in his thirties.

In its third year, the latest edition of Tea Party Festival featured dance acts such as DJ EZ, Hannah Wants, DJ S.K.T and Jaguar Skills.
