Beck, Fleetwood Mac and Sigur Rós to appear on soundtrack for new Cameron Crowe film

'Almost Famous' director uses his former music journalist knowledge once again

Beck, Fleetwood Mac, Kurt Vile and Sigur RósJónsi are among the artists set to appear on the soundtrack of Cameron Crowe’s latest film Aloha.

The Almost Famous director, who used to work as a music journalist for Rolling Stone, has also recruited the likes of The Tallest Man on Earth, David Crosby and Hall & Oates for the soundtrack. Local talent from the film’s setting iof Hawaii have been enlisted for the score.

The soundtrack will be released along with the film itself on May 26. Aloha is Crowe’s first movie since 2011’s We Bought a Zoo. It will star Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin.
