Someone has stolen a cash machine from T In The Park

Police are appealing for information following the theft

A cash machine has been stolen from T In The Park.

The theft occurred on the first day of this year’s edition of the festival (July 8), which takes place at Strathallan Castle, Perthshire.

Police are appealing for information and, in the wake of the machine’s disappearance, security guards have been tasked with guarding the remaining ATMs on the festival site.

According to BBC Newsbeat, the stolen ATM contained a “significant amount of cash”.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac tweeted after her performance at the festival: “T In The Park you were amazing as always. I am very curious as to how someone stole an ATM machine though… Please send details.

“Imagine waking up in your tent with an ATM machine”.

T In The Park concludes today (July 10) with sets from Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Diplo and more.
